The relationship between these three things have been on Kristina Banholzer’s mind for a while, owner of Catra. Having settled in Felinheli, where she and her partner are raising their two young children, Kristina has enjoyed being part of a community group organising events, and has seen the benefits and positive effects of bringing people of various ages and backgrounds together.
With more and more research telling us that relationships and connections are one of the key ingredients to happiness, Kristina started wondering if we could build this into the process of selling our homes. Could we show potential buyers not only the life they might live in a new home, but also the social network and opportunities available within the local community?

Why Homes Matter to Me
Before I became an estate agent, I spent over ten years working as a documentary photographer.
Photography taught me that the most meaningful stories are often found in ordinary places. A favourite chair beside a window. Muddy boots by the back door. A kitchen table that’s seen years of family meals. These are the things that quietly tell the story of a home.
When I started Catra, I realised I hadn’t really left photography behind at all. I’d simply found a new way of telling people’s stories.
Today, every home I photograph, every description I write and every viewing I carry out begins in exactly the same way—with curiosity. I want to understand what makes a home feel like your home before I ask someone else to fall in love with it.
